Finally some nature! We took the ferry to Miyajima, walked around Itsukushima Shrine and the Great Torii Gate, then climbed Mount Misen along a steep track through beautiful forests. A day of amazing views, gorgeous weather and lots of exercise.
Kristie happened to be in Hiroshima at the same time on her 3-week trip. What a fabulous coincidence! We managed to catch up over a few meals and on the ferry to Miyajima.
