Japan 2019 - Shikoku (part 3)

The sign to the “towel museum” intrigued us, so we had to check it out. Turns out, it really is a museum (and a giant shop) about towels. The museum showed how cotton is processed, how the machines work and what diversity of art can be produced out of towels - fascinating!


The last processing stage, weaving it into patterns....

We diverted inland to Imabari to avoid the busy coast road. Lovely to see the rural areas! 

 These are huge onions!



 Temples and shrines are everywhere.
